WILLAND ROVERS FC

Willand Rovers are always delighted to welcome and indeed look after visiting teams to its Silver Street home.

In each of the last two years since joining the Taunton and District Youth League the club has been honoured to be awarded the ‘Most Sporting Team’ trophy.

We do a home match programme and afford two full pages for the visiting team. Those pages include one with sufficient room for each visiting player to have a couple of lines about them included whilst there’s another page which shows the visitors league results for the campaign and any other relevant information.

After every match the two teams are served up a post-match meal, usually sausage and chips and we then conduct a match day draw. It is the proceeds from the programme sales (£1) and match draw, that we pay for the referee and the post-match food. We do NOT charge a match fee to our players for home games. However, we do ask for a £3 fee for away games to help us raise sufficient funds over the playing season to pay our bills.
